Why Bthorio

How Bthorio hosting is different.

High-end hardware, near-native storage performance, no overprovisioning — and fair pricing powered by automation. See how we compare to typical cloud and hosting providers.

Near-native storage performance

Our Cloud VMs use local NVMe drives — not network-attached block storage. That means near-bare-metal IOPS and microsecond latencies, even on the smallest plan. Your database doesn't share a SAN with thousands of other tenants.

Not overprovisioned

Many providers sell more resources than their hardware can deliver, betting that not everyone uses their allocation at once. We keep conservative overprovisioning ratios so your vCPUs and RAM perform as advertised — consistently, under load.

High-end hardware selection

We run current-generation AMD EPYC and Intel Xeon processors, DDR5 memory, and enterprise NVMe SSDs. Our dedicated servers offer RTX 4090 and RTX 5090 GPUs. We don't cut costs on hardware — we cut them through automation.

Fair pricing through automation

We invest heavily in automating provisioning, monitoring and operations. That lets us keep prices fair without sacrificing quality. No sales calls, no hidden upsells, no renewal surprises — just straightforward monthly billing.

Frequently asked questions

Web apps & APIs

Typical web applications benefit from the quick scaling of Cloud Machines. Spin up multiple VMs, load-balance across them, and scale down during off-hours.

Recommended: Cloud

Databases & data warehouses

Heavy databases with consistent IOPS demand benefit from dedicated NVMe and full CPU allocation. No noisy neighbors, no performance variance.

Recommended: Dedicated

AI/ML training & inference

GPU-accelerated workloads require dedicated RTX 4090 or 5090 hardware. Cloud Machines don't offer GPU — for AI/ML, dedicated is the way.

Recommended: Dedicated GPU

Dev & staging environments

Non-production environments don't need full hardware isolation. Cloud Starter or Standard VMs give you what you need at a fraction of the cost.

Recommended: Cloud

Game servers

Competitive gaming needs consistent low latency and zero contention. Dedicated servers with high-frequency CPUs deliver the smoothest experience.

Recommended: Dedicated

SaaS platforms

Multi-tenant SaaS apps often combine both: Cloud VMs for application tiers and a Dedicated server for the database. Mix and connect via private VLAN.

Recommended: Hybrid

Frequently asked questions

Why is local NVMe better than network-attached storage?

Network-attached storage adds latency and shared throughput. Our Cloud VMs read and write to local NVMe drives directly — delivering near-native speeds without SAN bottlenecks.

What does 'not overprovisioned' mean?

Many providers allocate more vCPUs and RAM than their hardware can actually deliver, hoping not everyone uses their share simultaneously. We keep conservative ratios so your resources perform consistently, even during peak hours.

Can I combine Cloud and Dedicated?

Yes. Many customers run their application tier on Cloud VMs and their database on a Dedicated server. Both connect through a private VLAN at no extra cost.

How do you keep prices fair?

We automate provisioning, monitoring and operations heavily. Lower operational overhead means we can offer high-end hardware at competitive prices — without cutting corners on quality or support.

Can I upgrade from Cloud to Dedicated later?

Absolutely. Start with Cloud and move to Dedicated when your workload demands it. Our support team helps with migration planning.

Do both options include DDoS protection?

Yes. Every Bthorio IP — Cloud or Dedicated — is protected by always-on DDoS mitigation at no extra cost.

What's the minimum commitment?

Both Cloud and Dedicated are billed monthly with no minimum commitment. Cancel anytime with 14 days notice.
